Financial Assistance When funds permit, Henderson Settlement can help community members with some of their more important bills. Individuals can apply to receive assistance with paying for their utilities, medications, and rent.Working with the Settlement's farm, we are able to provide firewood for heat in the winter, and other organizations assist us in providing other types of heating fuel. The Lions Club helps us to provide eyeglasses for some who are unable to afford them. We also partner with the Thrift Store by giving clothing vouchers to those who are financially strapped or who have lost everything in a house fire. Collaborating with these and other community agencies and support systems helps Community Center to provide for more needs than we could on our own. |
